Concept Note Forced conversion of Hindus Introduction:

Concept Note
Forced conversion of Hindus
Introduction:
It is about all kinds of brutality that human race experienced in the history, the violence that is still prevailing in the world, the non-satiating desire of the ruling class to crush the ruled ones, the continuous torture being faced by a section, race, group, ethnicity and one of the predominant and high scale trauma of religious violence of the world. It was always an attitude in a faith to be superior and considering others to be inferior, by putting some divine concepts. This competition or posing hegemonic attitude resulted in deadly and horrific violence causing intolerable loses to human societies. Violence, intolerance, ignorance, disrespecting to other beliefs resulted in a greater loss in the shape of creating physical and geographical boundaries for each other. Pakistan is passing through continues wave of unprecedented wave of violence and fragile system from very day of independence. Along with other problems kidnapping and forced conversion of Hindus boys and girls create a uncertainty within minorities. In Pakistan the largest minority group is the Hindus which consist 2.5 percent of its total population, majority of whom are dwelling in Sindh. Most Hindus populated district in Sindh are Umerkot, Tharparkar, Mirpurkhas, Badin and Sanghar.
Following case illustrate issues of forced conversion in Sindh province.
1)   In 2012, Manisha Kumari 14 years Hindu girl was kidnapped from Jacobabad and then forcibly converted to Islam and marry to Muslim man.
2)   In 2012, Rinkle Kumari 19 years old student, Dr Lata Kumari and Asha Kumari were kidnapped and forcibly converted to Islam.
3)     In 2014, 12 years old Anjli meghwar kidnapped in Daharki and after forcibly converted to Islam she married to Riaz syal, despite being a minor.

   A
In District Umerkot since last few years persecution and discrimination against Hindus has been gradually increased. The alleged forced conversion of Hindus minor girls and their subsequent marriage with a Muslims mounting fear among the communities. According to Human rights commission of Pakistan 20 to 25 Hindu girls are being forcibly converted to Islam every month in Sindh province. Forced conversions resulting in marriage is one of the destructive phenomenon of society is increasing day by day, which lead violence between communities and girls who subjected to forced conversion were deprived of justice due to failed judiciary corruption and lack of representation. Peoples of Hindu community are migrating from Southern Sindh to Karachi and India for the protection, while asking about migration they always said that “we feeling insecure even life risk that’s why leaving”. Social security remained one of the predominant problems of all time and Hindus are in the biggest threat and their community is in danger to extinct. In Pakistan state has been failed to inculcate or formulate credible policies to safeguard the rights and protection of communities belong to other religion or beliefs.
We will try to examine the opinion and views of both sides by consulting administration and their preparedness to control or solve the issues. As discussed, forced conversions, one must say not in the love with religion but only for marriage is covered with changing the belief of girl. We will try to find out the role of religious institutions in conversion and little or more to get them onboard to help in putting limitations for inhumane acts.
What DDAT planned?

DDAT is a non-profit and nongovernmental organization working for sustainable rural development, raising educational awareness, poverty alleviation and disaster risk management through ensuring healthcare services. DDAT is an initiative of young rural development professional, practitioners, human rights and social activist who jointly formed DDAT.

DDAT has successfully implemented such type of project. We have planned preventive and curative measure to mitigate very sensitive and serious problem of forced conversion and the fear which is increasing in minorities’ community.

Objective:-
Route out the causes to the enigma and formulate social contracts, traits, ritual to reunite the old fabric of the society. Objectivity in this phase will work out in the shape of making some hidden facts of problems. State is seems ignorant, it is very important to mobilize the administration to pay off their duties to serve the interest of rightful person or community. Religion is driving force behind all happens so it is very important to consult with liberal religious figures to find some solution for the aforesaid problem.

Implementation:

For the implementation of project, we will organize seminar on forced conversion in which scholars from different religion and human rights activist would be invited. Awareness Campaign for religious harmony would be deliver within the segregated communities.
