situation of education in tharparkar

Visited five campus schools which have been established in village Vaihorri Dora . When the case was highlighted i

n 2011 by Aware Thar it was told as 63 schools later merged. It was hoped that condition would be better. I shocked to see present porfolio ; 20-30 students were sitting on floor, though 5-6 teachers been appointed but found 1-2 teachers, signed mustrol through were on holiday, people were sleeping during school hours, double beds sofa seats were there in class rooms very painful to see children on floor. SMCs funds have been frequently used but now they would get additionally 1.2million ruppees as for campus school. Average 3-4 thousand ruppees are being invested for each child but result is very poor. Would imposed emergency be like that? what changes we could expect from such government? Courtesy Partab Shivani
